I’m Becky

I’ve always had a passion and love for the outdoors. As a kid I spent hours adventuring in the backyard and climbing trees. Summer camp was my favorite because we slept in tents under the stars. In college I discovered backpacking in Arkansas and spent time in the woods of Louisiana.

Then, like most people, I graduated college and got a job. Eventually I married the love of my life and had two fabulous kids and life continued in East Texas where I still spent as much time as I could outdoors in my yard. I responded to God’s call to ministry went to seminary and pursued ordination and began serving in the church in youth ministry, campus ministry and adult discipleship. Connecting people to the heart of the Father is still my primary calling in life!

Moving to Georgia rekindled my love for creation and I began hiking in the North Georgia mountains. This love for hiking and backpacking soon developed into a calling that combines my love for God, discipleship and ministry with my love for all things outdoors. And so, here I am stepping into the dream I hardly knew existed and I’d love to walk beside you as you step into your dream!

In discerning this call, I enrolled in a wilderness ministry course specifically designed to provide and develop skills for doing deep discipleship in a wilderness setting. Today, you’ll find me in and among the trees, dreaming about the next adventure.  Come join me!
